Speaking at the AMU Founder’s Day event on Monday Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated that the focus of the world has shifted towards India’s capacity to grow. Speaking at a meeting after he launched and announced projects worth over Rs 4,900 crore in Amreli, Gujarat, the state, he said: “The world today is focused on India and is actively discussing the vast potential of this country in various fields.”
Modi added that the countries that attended the recent BRICS summit held in Kazan, Russia demonstrated a great interest for partnering India on its development process. He expounded on ways in which the new projects would add value to the improvement of the quality of life of the region and boost its development focusing more on the port led development in Amreli district.
He pointed out that Gujarat’s success in water management is exemplary to the rest of the country, which means that the state has managed to solve regional issues.
The Prime Minister also echoed the words of the Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany on admitting 90,000 visas for the Indian manpower every year. There Mr. Modi insisted that India should concentrate on skill development to get benefits from this opportunity.
In Amreli he also unveiled the Bharat Mata Sarovar a Rs 35 crore project on the Gagadio River meant for augmentation the water resources in the district.
Further, Modi spoke about the India-Spain relation with the latest inauguration of the Tata Aircraft Complex in Vadodara inaugurated with Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez. This building is a part of Make in India plan and will create C295 aircraft which will be a strong advancement in India Spain relation.
Modi used the occasion to heaped praises on Airbus and Tata teams that have combined efforts in the project where he dedicated the occasion to the late Ratan Tata and stressed that the project could serve as a significant platform in building up the sector of defense manufacturing in India.
