Bomb threats were emailed to two major Delhi schools, Delhi Public School in RK Puram and GD Goenka Public School in Paschim Vihar, on Monday morning. The Delhi Fire Department was alerted around 7 am, with calls recorded at 7:DPS RK Puram 06 am, GD Goenka 6:15 am.
Authorities conducted thorough searches and both schools sent students home in response. Local police, bomb detection squads and dog units searched the premises but found no suspicious objects. But warnings from the Delhi Police said investigations and searches were ongoing.
Indian authorities say four more schools in the capital received similar threats shortly after those incidents, which have raised suspicions of coordinated hoaxes.

It comes after a series of bomb threats made against Indian schools over recent months. Two CRPF schools in Delhi and one in Hyderabad got threats via email over a month ago. A blast that damaged nearby property but caused no injuries took place outside a CRPF school in Delhi’s Rohini area on October 20. That incident was claimed by a Telegram group that supports Khalistan, prompting police to ask the platform for information.
Earlier this month, Delhi Police said many of these threats were hoaxes, including a bomb threat to a CRPF school in Tamil Nadu on October 21, which sparked nation-wide alerts. Other airlines, hotels and railway stations have also similarly seen similar false alarms, while also signalling a disturbing pattern of overly disruptive hoax threats.
However, the authorities still advise anxiousness during the investigation probes of the sources of such threats. The public should be vigilant and report suspicious activities immediately to avoid panic and ensure safety, police urge.
