The much-anticipated box office clash between Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The threat that has been averted at the weekend includes the Rule and Vicky Kaushal’s traditional Chhaava in December as the makers of Chhaava have resolved to shift their historical drama next year. Initially, Pushpa: The Rule was scheduled to be released on December 5 while Chhaava was planned to released on December 6. But what producers of Chhaava did to avoid competition at the box office was decide to bring their film out on a later date. While the new date has not been given, insiders say the change is meant to make sure that both movies are given a fair or equitable shot.
Adapted from Shivaji Sawant’s novel, Chhaava focuses the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Rising star Vicky Kaushal plays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the film, while Rashmika Mandanna is his wife, Yesubai. His step mother that he loves so much as portrayed by Divya Dutta while Akshaye Khanna signals the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb to the intensity of the adaptation.
On the other hand, Pushpa 2: The Rule comes after the movie Pushpa, which featured Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. This Telugu action drama tells the story of a labourer’s climb into a red sandalwood smuggling gang in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh. And with a star cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Dhananjaya, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh the film is expected to have a rich storyline that audience is waiting for.
Notably, Rashmika Mandanna is thrilled with two upcoming projects, Pushpa 2 and Chhaava apart from her new release Siddhesh.
