Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun and Rashmika starrer The Rule has set the box office on fire and grossed ₹500 crore on its first three days itself. Directed by Sukumar, the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: ‘The Rise hit theaters on a non-holiday weekday, on December 5.
The premiere shows of the film raked in ₹10.65 crore net for the Christmas day show in India, Sacnilk notes. It earned a massive ₹164.5 crore net in its opening day, shattering records. The film, which saw an earnings dip of 42.89% on its second day and raked in ₹93.8 crore, rallied back on the second day of the weekend, giving ₹115.58 crore net to stand at its total Indian sum of ₹383 crore net in three days.

It also set new benchmarks, success surpassing RRR as the biggest Indian film opener and Javans record for highest collection on the day in Hindi. Pushpa 2, which made ₹200.7 crore in three days, ₹70.3 crore on day 1, ₹56.9 crore on day 2, ₹73.5 crore on day 3 alone in the Hindi belt, earned another ₹34.7 crore on day four taking the total to ₹235.4 crore.
